The Opole University of Technology (OUTech) located in the beautiful city of Opole is a compact, friendly university with over half a century of tradition and modern laboratory facilities, providing Education in technical, economic and medical sciences.
The Opole University of Technology consists of six faculties that together form a dynamic, modern and versatile organism:
- Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control and Informatics
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Production Engineering and Logistics
- Faculty of Economics and Management
- Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy
The university serves about 5000 students representing 23 nationalities. Its scientific and educational potential is built on a high-class international academic and research staff. The university offers studies in an interesting, stimulating and inspiring international environment. Once enrolled, the students become members of the university community.
In recent years, we have invested tens of millions of euros in the modernization of laboratories. Many of them, such as the Neuro-science Laboratory, where brain-computer interactions are studied, or the Movement Laboratory, where the Olympic team is tested, are the best laboratories of this type in Poland.
The degree programs and courses in English are crucial for the internationalization of the university. They are steered by foreign scholars and academic professionals. The courses are designed to meet the global market requirements. Our university is famous for its attracting diploma theses. If you have a research idea, our lecturers will help you develop and implement a diploma you will be proud of. Having completed the first-degree studies, you can change the field of study and get a master’s degree in another specialization.

For several years, our university has been appearing in significant world rankings:
- ranked in Times Higher Education world university rankings 2023 (THE) subject in the category: engineering – in the national perspective our university is ranked on the 9th position from 32 polish research centers
- ranked third in the national ranking by RESEARCH.COM in the category of mechanical engineering
- classified as the twelfth-best technical university in Poland in the NATURE INDEX RANKING
The university is closely cooperating with local governments and businesses. Thanks to the business-science network of contacts with the finest local enterprises our students get first-hand practical knowledge.
The Center of Technology Transfer supports researchers in protecting intellectual property, securing patents, and forming partnerships with businesses to bring cutting-edge innovations to the market. The center also provides resources for entrepreneurship, funding opportunities, and expert guidance on licensing and startups. By fostering collaboration between academia and industry, the Center of Technology Transfer drives economic growth, encourages innovation, and ensures that research has a tangible impact on society.
For many years the university has been building a multicultural academic community. We developed educational and research partnerships with a number of partnering institutions from all over Europe, South America and Asia. Each year we receive a number of students, lecturers and specialists from all over the world.
The International Relations Office (IRO) plays a key role in fostering global partnerships and supporting international academic exchange. It coordinates programs like Erasmus+, which offers students, staff, and faculty opportunities to study, work, or train abroad within Europe and beyond.
The Erasmus+ programme promotes cultural exchange, enhances academic and professional development, and strengthens international collaboration between institutions. The IRO provides guidance on applications, scholarships, and logistical support, ensuring participants can make the most of these transformative international experiences.
The university offers students services on the highest level in terms of accommodation, sports activities and social events.
The students are supported in their job search by the Academic Career Centre.
Members of the University Sports Association participate in the World and European Championships and Olympic Games, winning medals in various categories.
The Office for Support of Persons with Disabilities is a dedicated resource center that aims to promote inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities. It provides a range of services, including academic accommodations, assistive technologies, counseling, and advocacy to ensure that people with disabilities can fully participate in the university life.
