Prof. Grzegorz Królczyk has become the chairman of an important ministerial committee
Professor Grzegorz Królczyk, Vice-Rector for Science and Development at Opole University of Technology, has been appointed by Minister Dariusz Wieczorek as the chairman of the Council for Innovation in Higher Education and Science.
The Council is an advisory body to the Minister of Science, and its main tasks are: identifying and analyzing problems related to innovation policy in higher education and science; reviewing and analyzing organizational and legal solutions for innovation in higher education and science; developing systemic policy assumptions for innovation and proposing fundamental directions for innovation development in higher education and science, as well as consulting these actions with external entities.
The Council consists of twelve members, experts from various fields of science in Poland.
“It is a very strong team in terms of expertise. The team comprises very scientifically active individuals; all are typically hands-on professionals, and most have held positions related to science management or collaboration with the socio-economic environment at universities. We know the problems and see the opportunities in higher education, and we know what needs to be done for the country’s development,” says Professor Grzegorz Królczyk.
