“Newton” – next phase of construction
The next phase of construction for “Newton,” a modern complex to be used by students, researchers, and residents of Opole, is underway.
“Newton” will consist of five modules with a central hall as an integral part. The remaining four sections of the building will include a library, an auditorium, an educational area, and an IT laboratory. The new facility will also feature a gathering space for students, where they can prepare for classes.
The laboratory will be dedicated to the research and scientific activities of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Automation. The educational area will include two lecture halls designed for multimedia presentations. On the upper floor, there will be a divided lecture hall, also equipped for multimedia presentations, along with a space for the student government. The auditorium will serve as a modern conference room with amphitheater-style seating, capable of accommodating several hundred people.
The library section will also include an area open to the public, featuring a library information center, reading zones, individual and group workstations, and computer access points.
