Erasmus Partnership Conference 2024. Christmas Edition
Nineteen participants representing nine international universities took part in the December edition of the Erasmus Partnership Conference at the Opole University of Technology.
“This event aligns with the development of the internationalization of our university and took place during a very important period of work on the European Universities project. This year began with the January KreativEU conference. We submitted an application for the European Universities initiative and received positive feedback from the European Commission. The European University will formally commence operations on January 1, 2025. During the EPiC conference, we showcased the university, our projects, faculties, and study programs. But that’s not all – it also featured fascinating workshops, such as those on artificial intelligence and its application in advancing educational processes and scientific development. These workshops were attended by academic, teaching, and administrative staff of the Opole University of Technology and were conducted by representatives of Breda University of Applied Sciences, also a member of the KreativEU Consortium,” said Aneta Kucińska-Landwójtowicz, Vice-Rector for Cooperation.
“We hosted representatives from universities in Turkey, Spain, Croatia, Portugal, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Romania, and Ukraine. The conference program included presentations from all participating universities and numerous workshops, including those on artificial intelligence and virtual reality. As part of getting to know our university, the participants visited the Office for Disability Support, the Student Service Center, the Confucius Institute, the European Projects Office, the Rectorate, and the Office for International Scientific Cooperation, among others. Additionally, integration activities included workshops on professional holiday gingerbread decoration. These workshops were conducted by Monika Konieczny, a student of the Faculty of Production Engineering and Logistics, who recently won first place in a confectionery competition in England,” added Marta Dębowska from the International Relations Office.
The conference was attended by representatives from Breda University of Applied Sciences, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Karabük University, Afyon Kocatepe University, University of Zagreb, J. Selye University, University of Cordoba, Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, and Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University.
